Home Clearing Techniques

This course is designed for the sole purpose of identifying the safest, most efficient, and reasonable methods for safeguarding you, your family and possibly your guests if you hear a potential intruder in your home. Topics covered will include: Considerations regarding your home, firearm and ammunition selection, defensive positions, safety and security of firearms, storage concerns, legal issues, threat assessment, and movement.

It should be noted that clearing your home is extremely dangerous and should only be done as a last resort.

  • Handgun
  • Holster
  • Flashlight
  • Speed loader/strips for revolver
  • No low cut, V neck, or tank tops shirts
  • Min. of 150 rounds
  • Min. of 2 magazines for semi-auto
  • Eye protection
  • Closed toe shoes. No sandals/flip flops

  • Defensive long gun
  • Sling for long gun
  • Min.of 100 rounds/gun
  • Ammo carrier for reloads
